THERAPY FOR NEURODIVERGENCE IN WALNUT CREEK AND ALAMEDA, CALIFORNIA

NeURODIVERGENCE

Neurodivergent-affirming care (meaning I believe neurodivergent brains are incredible and not something that needs to be “fixed”) is at the heart of my practice and everything I do. Whether it’s working on how to navigate environments that are challenging, motivation, emotional dysregulation, or any self-esteem issues that may arise, I love
helping other neurodivergent folks find ways to thrive in all areas of their lives (this is especially true for those of us diagnosed later in life, who felt different and never understood why).

Here’s What We’ll Do

Neurodivergence is not something to heal from or fix – neurodivergence is wonderful and the gifts of a neurodivergent brain are endless (I wouldn’t trade mine for anything). That said, a lot of stuff can hit us harder and certain things can be more challenging. I help my clients learn how their brains are impacted by different environmental and social situations, and move towards:

  • Better emotional regulation

  • Increased self-esteem

  • Creating safe spaces

  • Energy management

  • Self-acceptance

  • Decreased masking

  • Coping strategies for sensory sensitivities

  • Ways to manage overwhelm

  • Recognition of gifts

  • Communication that feels comfortable & authentic
